Sensory integration therapy

Sensory Integration is the organization of sensations for use. Our senses give us information about the physical conditions of our body and the environment around us.The brain organizes all of these sensations to help a person move efficiently in the surrounding. Sensory integration therapy uses five basic senses of our body (proprioception, vestibular, tactile, visual, auditory). It is predominantly used in children with sensory processing disorders. Some conditions where it can be used are:

  • Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism spectrum disorders (ADD)
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Sensory modulation disorders
