Many a times, we experience pain in our back or neck due to sitting continuously at our workplaces. By strengthening our body or making minute changes in the environment, we can curb the pain and thereby improve our work performance.

Ergonomics is the science of designing or modifying a person’s environment to improve a person’s efficiency in his/her workplace. Good ergonomics prevent injury and promote health, safety, and comfort for employees.

As therapist we can identify the shortcomings of the person’s work environment, help identify hazards that may contribute to on-the-job injury, and determine how it can be eliminated.
